NORTH CONWAY, New Hampshire Scott McKinnon was the guest on Valley Forum today. He is the President and CEO of Memorial Hospital. Scott described some of the new programs at the hospital including the new Miranda Leavitt Center. ''Miranda's story and her commitment to diabetes education are a powerful legacy, one which we will be proud to continue in her honor,'' he said. Scott also outlined Memorial's initiatives in the areas of preventative medicine, community health and then detailed some of the aspects of the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obama Care.
Scott was excited to tell Mike about the hospital's golf tournament now in its 32nd year and the upcoming Legacy Gala fundraiser to be held on September 28, 2013 at the Grand Summit at Attitash, the Broadway-themed festivities will begin at 6 PM with a walk down the red carpet on your way to a cocktail reception. An elegant dinner will soon follow at 7 PM, partnered with dazzling entertainment, courtesy of the Mount Washington Valley’s very own theater company - Arts in Motion. Lastly, this black tie affair will be capped off in true New York style with amazing chef inspired desserts and dancing well into the night with music from the Wicked Smart Horn Band. Scott also talked about the FUN RUN on Sunday September 22. He said that, ''Memorial Hospital invites our community’s children to discover the joys of a running event… in a non-competitive environment at New England’s favorite theme park -- Story Land in Glen, NH.''
