Erik Gustafson Performing In Tamworth. Montana bluesman Erik Gustafson, aka "Erik Ray," will be performing at Chequers Villa in Tamworth Friday, Nov. 1 from 6 to 10 p.m.
American Legion Halloween Party. The American Legion Post 46 will hold a Halloween party for their members and guests. There will be a costume contest, refreshments and live entertainment with Stiff Kitty at 8 p.m. Calle 447-3927 for more information.
TGIF Book Group. The North Conway Library's TGIF Book Group will discuss "One Thousand White Women" by Jim Fergus at 10:30 a.m. at the library. This is an open group. Everyone is welcome, whether or not you are a library member. Community School Pre-School Program Open House.Teachers Heidi Fayle and Lauren Sayers will be hosting two informational open houses at The Community School on Bunker Hill Road in South Tamworth to introduce parents to the Perkins Farm Muskrats, a new program being offered for children aged 5–7, utilizing The Mindful Brain approach developed by award-winning educator Daniel J. Siegel, M.D. Siegel. Perkins Farm Muskrat activities will focus on ecology literacy, art, music, movement and puppetry, with plenty of time for fun and organized games. Pizza And Movie Night. Freedom Public Library hosts a pizza and movie night at 5 p.m. featuring Pixar's latest, "Monsters University." This film is a prequel to "Monsters, Inc." and tells the story of how Mike and Sulley met in college. Volunteers are needed to make cookies. Contact Elizabeth at the library if you can help. Cheese pizza is $3 per person. Pickup is 6:45 p.m.
Huggins Hospital Aid Sale. Huggins Hospital Aid will hold a fund-raiser sale at the collection center barn on Route 109A in Wolfeboro (first road after town garages) 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Items include books holiday decorations, skis, furniture, lamps, toys, 1800s sleigh with slags suitable for hotel or building lobby.
