Lights On Afterschool! Celebration. Conway's before and after school program, Project Succeed, and the Kennett High School Marching Band, featuring the band, P3 Drumline and dance team, will hold a Lights On Afterschool! celebration at the Kennett High School's Millen Stadium. The Kennett High School Marching Band will be performing their half time show at 4 p.m. in support of the after school program and to share their work with interested community members. The performance is open to the public at no charge. The half time is entitled "The Elements of the Universe: Earth Wind and Fire." It features the songs, "September" and "Let's Groove" written and made famous by the iconic funk band in the 1970s. It also includes a drum section solo, "Groove Thang" and "The Kennett Fight Song." Lights On Afterschool is a project of the Afterschool Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that all children have access to afterschool programs.
