Fryeburg Historical Society Open. The Col. Samuel Osgood  House, the new home of the Fryeburg Historical Society, is open for guided tours, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesdays and Saturdays through Christmas.  Groups are asked to call ahead for an appointment at 697-3484.
American Legion Auxiliary's Holiday Craft Fair. The American Legion Auxiliary holds its holiday craft fair on from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Harriman-Hale American Legion Hall at 142 Center Street in Wolfeboro. This is a public indoor fair held rain or shine, featuring many hand-made items, farm products and more. Plenty of free parking is available near the building. 5th Annual Affordable Art Show And Sale. Mount Washington Valley Art Association will hold its fifth annual Affordable Art Show and Sale at the Downstairs Gallery, with an exhibit opening today 3-5 p.m. The show runs from Nov. 29 to Jan. 4. The gallery is open 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, Thursday through Sunday (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays). For more information call (603) 356-2787. 
Effingham Elementary School PTO Holiday Craft Fair. The Effingham Elementary School PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) will be hosting this year's holiday craft fair at the Effingham Elementary School, 6 Partridge Cove Road in Effingham on Nov. 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A wide variety of 25 to 30 local crafters will be displaying their crafts, such as lamp shades, wooden children's toys, jewelry and much more. Children events will be taking place throughout the day, along with a special visit from Santa Clause. A bake sale and lunch will be available for purchase as well. In addition to the craft fair a 5K fun-run being called the "Holiday Shuffle" will be for runners and walkers alike. Sign up will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, and both walkers and runners will start at 9 a.m. A donation of $5 for each participant and no more than $15 for a family of four or more. Christmas In Effingham. Christmas in Effingham will be held all day today and tomorrow in Taylor City, South Effingham.  Activities begin at 10 a.m. and continue through until 8 p.m. Ye Olde Sale Shoppe’s Open House will last from 10 a.m. to “whenever” the evening festivities end. The Annual Christmas Concert will be held at the South Effingham Church on Route 153 at 6:45 p.m. This year’s featured performer is Bradigan, a well known group, whose specialty is Irish music but who will present Christmas music for everyone. Bradigan was the guest performer last year and is back by popular demand. The concert will last approximately 45-50 minutes and will be followed by The Tree of Lights. Follow the Piper and Bradigan out to the square and join in the countdown. Public Potluck And Bonfire.  Potluck dinners at Jackson Ski Touring Foundation are a long honored tradition of social gathering and great food. This first potluck of the season will be preceded by a sacrificial offering to the snow gods. The bonfire starts at 5:30 p.m. The potluck starts with appetizers at 6 p.m. bring a dish to feed six to eight people and settings for your party. Loon Center Holiday Open House. The Loon Center in Moultonborough, holds its annual holiday open house, 10 a.m.-2p.m. There will be fun for the whole family, including hay rides, balloon animals, face-painting, and warm refreshments and treats. Santa arrives at noon. For more than 36 years the Loon Preservation Committee has worked to preserve the Common Loon and its habitat in New Hampshire through research, education and management activities. To reach the Loon Center from Route 25 in Moultonborough turn onto Blake Road at the Moultonborough Central School. Follow Blake Road one mile to the end at Lee's Mills Road. Comedy Night. The Carpenter and Crescent Lake parent-teacher organization will be hosting a Comedy Night at Wolfeboro Inn at 8 p.m. This fundraising event is generously sponsored by People's United Bank and Kingswood Golf Club. Christmas Craft Fair. The 13th annual Christmas Craft Fair, will be held 9 a.m.m-3 p.m. at the Carroll Town Hall gymnasium, in Twin Mountain, featuring artisans and entrepreneurs from New Hampshire and Vermont. Mount Cranmore Homecoming Celebration. Cranmore celebrates homecoming with a meet and greet with Cranmore President and general manager Ben Wilcox starting at 3 p.m. Wilcox will outline what's new this season at Cranmore while guests check out the vintage trail sign silent auction and a cash bar and complimentary appetizers. A portion of auction proceeds will go to the Jimmy Mersereau scholarship. Operation Christmas Angel 'Fill the Truck' Toy Drive. The Magic Lantern and Tannery Pub will be hosting a "Fill the Truck" Toy Drive with Bridgton Fire and Rescue to benefit Operation Christmas Angel. 'A Child's Christmas in Wales.' M&D Productions and Mountain Top Music are joining forces to present a "A Child's Christmas in Wales" Saturday, Nov. 30, at Your Theatre, home of M&D, at 1857 White Mountain Highway in North Conway at 8 p.m, after the valley tree lighting ceremonies. "A Child’s Christmas in Wales" will be read by Richard Russo. Chris Nourse leading some of the valley’s finest musicians in providing selected holiday music. Joe LaFrance and his carolers, Ashley Iwans, Courtney Viall, Eric Andrews, Ezra Alves Dave Mason, will complete this holiday package. This is fundraiser for both M&D and Mountain Top. Fifth annual Mount Washington Valley Arts Association Affordable Art Show and Sale. The Mount Washington Valley Arts Association is holding its fifth annual Affordable Art Show and Sale, where all work is priced at $250 or less. The opening reception 3-5 p.m., at the Downstairs Gallery at 16 Norcross Place in North Conway, behind the Met. The event coincide with the North Conway Village Snowflake Festival. Refreshments will be served. All are invited to stop by the gallery to see what local artists and artisans have created. The show will run from Friday, Nov. 29 through Saturday, Jan. 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursdays through Saturdays, at the Mount Washington Valley Arts Association. North Conway Village Snowflake Stroll And Tree Lighting. North Conway Village holds its Snowflake Stroll throughout the day and Tree Lighting at 4 p.m. in Schouler Park on Main Street in North Conway Village, with activities, giveaways and Small Business Saturday Specials in North Conway Village. Participating sponsors include Fields of Ambrosia, providing free snowflake soap giveaways; The Penguin, offering a wine tasting and free gift wrapping; The White Mountain Cupcakery, serving holiday cupcake pops; Chef's Market, serving hot cocoa; M&D Productions, spreading holiday cheer by caroling; and the MWV Children's Museum, offering face painting. The Mount Washington Valley Arts Association will be offering "Affordable Art" including custom snowboards and skis painted by Mount Washington Valley Arts Association members as well as a mural kids can paint their name and portrait on and offering warm refreshments in their gallery at Norcross Circle (across from Schouler Park). Boutique shopping in North Conway Village will also offer unique gifts, offerings and "snowflake specials."
Great Glen Craft Fair. The 13th Annual Great Glen Craft Fair will be held at the Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center lodge on Route 16 in Pinkham Notch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 30 talented local crafters and artisans will be on site with their diverse array of handmade offerings. Also included in the day will be a bake sale and a benefit raffle which will support the Great Glen Trails Bill Koch Youth Ski League. Admission is free. Free Motorcycle Winterization Clinic. Come into Whitehorse Gear between 1 and 2 p.m. or 3 and 4 p.m. for some dedicated time with the staff to learn how to properly prepare your motorcycle for winter storage. Staff would be happy to test your battery for you if you bring it in with you (not installed in the bike please). Complimentary snacks and coffee will be available.
