Advice To The Players Auditions for Shakespeare's 'Richard III.' Advice To The Players is looking for professional, community and student actors for its production "Richard III." Open auditions will be on Sunday, Nov. 17 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the upstairs theater at the Sandwich Town Hall. The production will run from March 7-23, 2014 and will be performed at the Town Hall Theater in Sandwich, at YourTheatre in North Conway and at several area high schools. Home Concert. A house concert, open to the public, offers jazz and romance to lighten up November's growing darkness, featuring vibrant vocalist Peggo Hodes performing with Instrumentalist Kent Allyn, at a home near Silver Lake at 4 p.m. "Dance Me to the End of Love," a folk song by Leonard Cohen, sets the tone for this celebration of love songs, all to benefit the students of Mountain Top Music, our local community music school. Since the concert is offered in a private home, the concert venue address is withheld until reservations have been made.
Free Meal At Nativity Lutheran Church. The Nativity Lutheran Church in North Conway offers a free meal to the community on the third Sunday of each month. Today the meal will be a turkey and ham dinner, complete with side dishes, salads, desserts, and beverages. Meals begin at 11:30 a.m. and are served through 12:30 p.m. in the social hall downstairs in the church building, located at the corner of Main and Grove Streets in North Conway. Wendy Appleton Benefit. There will be a fund-raising event for Wendy Appleton starting at 4 p.m. at the Shannon Door in Jackson. Wendy Appleton is a single mother who sustained serious injuries in an automobile accident on Route 16A on Oct. 9.
'The Magic Roller Coaster.' Arts in Motion Theater Company is presenting a whirlwind tour of musical history with its original production of "The Magic Roller Coaster" at 4 p.m. at the historic Eastern Slope Inn Playhouse. Join the pre-show fun with carnival games and prizes starting 45 minutes before each show. What happens when a roller coaster can travel to any place and any time? Magic! White Mountain Art Exhibit. The Museum of White Mountain Art at Jackson presents its inaugural exhibition "The Road to Jackson: a Journey through the White Mountains of New Hampshire." The exhibition features 44 nineteenth century paintings of artists of the White Mountain School of Art from private collections. The museum is open Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and other days by chance or appointment. The museum is in Jackson's historic Town Hall, which also houses exhibits illustrating the history of Jackson.

The Little White Church in Eaton will be open to the public every third Sunday of the month at 5 p.m. Pianist and composer Dana Cunningham will be leading what she describes as an emergent, present-moment-directed hour of music both sung and instrumental, as well as poetry, silence, and the spoken word. The content of the time together is offered with the intention of creating space for stillness, gratitude, and increased awareness of what needs our attention most.
