Village Thanksgiving Dinner In Madison. There will be a Village Thanksgiving Dinner, noon-5 p.m.,  at Madison Elementary School, 2069 Village Road, in Madison. Dinner will be served at 2 p.m. There will be games and puzzles before and after dinner for kids of all ages. The menu includes turkey (including fried and smoked), mashed potatoes, delicious stuffing, fresh tossed salad, rich gravy, dessert and your choice of hot and cold drinks. Free. Donations will be accepted, with all proceeds benefiting the Madison Church Deacon’s Fund. Dinner will be buffet style. Traditional Thanksgiving Feast in Freedom. The First Christian Church of Freedom is hosting a traditional Thanksgiving Feast on Nov. 28 at 12:30 p.m. at the Freedom Town Hall. Everyone in the community is welcome regardless of church affiliation. In the spirit of giving there will be no charge. Reservations are welcome, to help us plan in advance, but are not required. Free Thanksgiving Day Dinner. Rafferty's is hosting its third free Thanksgiving Day dinner, for those away from their families, those in need of a hot meal,
 someplace to go on Thanksgiving or whatever the circumstance may be.
 Bring your family, children, or just yourself.
 The doors will be open from noon to 2:30 p.m on Thursday, Nov. 28. Rafferty's is located at 36 Kearsarge Road in Norht Conway Village. All are welcome. Call 356-6460 to reserve a seat or to make a donation or volunteer.

Madison Thanksgiving Day 5K. The Bearcamp Valley School and Children's Center and Purity Spring Resort present the sixth annual Madison Thanksgiving Day 5K Cross Country Trail Race and 2K Fitness Walk on Thursday, Nov. 28, at 9 a.m. at Purity Spring Resort/King Pine Ski Area, in East Madison. This event is a fundraiser for the Bearcamp Valley School and Children's Center. Registration fee for the 5k is $15 before Nov 21; post-entry and day of race, $20. Families can pre-register for a total of $40 (no family discount on race day). Fee for the 2 km fitness walk will be $5 per individual, $15 per family. Appalachian Mountain Teen Project Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot. The Appalachian Mountain Teen Project will hold a Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5k run or 2.5k walk at the Sandwich Fire Station at 23 Wentworth Hill Road, Sandwich. Race registration begins at 8 a.m. and the run/walk begins at 9 a.m. The cost of race registration is $20. First 50 registrations received will receive a T-shirt. North Conway Public Library Closed. North Conway Public Library will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29 for Thanksgiving. Madison Library Closed. Madison Public Library will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Ossipee Recreation Department Office Closed. The Ossipee Recreation Department office will be closed from Wednesday, Nov. 27, through the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. The office will re-open on Monday, Dec. 2 at 9 a.m. The department wishes one-and-all a Happy Thanksgiving.
