Free Waxing Demonstration For Cross-Country Skis.Jackson Ski Touring Foundation hosts a free waxing demonstration every Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Sessions take place in the touring center and are hands on. Participants will learn how to maintain waxless and waxable skis, classic and skate. Jackson Ski Touring Foundation also offers a free wax room to skiers. Parent’s Night Out in Brownfield. Brownfield Recreation Department hosts a Parent’s Night Out, 5-9 p.m., at Browfield Recreation Department. For more information visit brownfieldrecdept.com or call 890-4240. 
Parents' Night Out in Fryeburg. Fryeburg First Congregational Church will host a Christmas Party for children ages 3–11. Children ages 12-17 are welcome to attend as participants or volunteers to help with the event. Drop off your children at 5:30 p.m. and then have the evening to yourselves. Children arrive for a fun night of games, dinner, crafts, and snacks. The party goes until 8:30 p.m. The event is free for all children. Donations are gratefully accepted. The Fryeburg First Church is located at 655 Main Street, Fryeburg, at the corner of Main and Stuart Streets. Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Stuart Street Entrance and all children must be picked up by 8:30 p.m. Due to the popularity of this event, advance registration is required by Dec. 11. Local Grocer Eco-Holiday Party. The Local Grocer will hold eco-holiday party, 5-7 p.m. All are welcome to stop in for the holiday open house, with music, N.H. wine, organic appetizers from The Local Grocer Cafe, mini spa services, holiday shopping in the newly expanded eco-gift boutique, and a gift registry (make holiday shopping easy for those who love you). The store will be raffling off gifts and gift certificates for Be Well Studios holistic health services (massage, reiki, yoga therapy, wellness and  life coaching).  Proceeds will go to Angels and Elves and Starting Point.  Donations for mini spa services will also be donated to these non-profit organizations.
Elementary School Winter Concert. The Grades 4-6 Chorus and Advanced Band students will present their winter concert at 1:30 p.m. at Conway Elementary School.
Huggins Hospital Aid Sale. Huggins Hospital Aid will hold a fund-raiser sale at the collection center barn on Route 109A in Wolfeboro (first road after town garages) 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Items include books, holiday decorations, skis, furniture, lamps, toys, 1800s sleigh with slags. Story Time at the Effingham Public Library. Story Time is held at 10:30 a.m. at the Effingham Public Library, with stories and simple craft activities for our youngest patrons. For more information call 539-1537. The library is located at 30 Town House Road just off Route 153.
'Kringle's Window.' Theater-goers lacking the Christmas spirit have the opportunity to become a little more "in the mood" by attending M&D's Productions' final show of the 2013 season, "Kringle's Window" at 7:30 p.m. at Your Theatre, located at 1857 White Mountain Highway in North Conway. "Kringle's Window" begins as Little Boomer Waller's sister and her friends convince her there is no Santa Claus. Then the mysterious Mrs. Rosen shows up at the Waller home, and strange things start to happen. 'It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play.' Arts in Motion Theater Company, at the Eastern Slope Inn Playhouse on Main Street in North Conway Village looks forward to sharing the holiday season with the community as they bring a favorite Christmas story to the stage with "It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play" by Joe Landry at 7 p.m. Inspired by the classic American film by Frank Capra, the show is performed as a 1940s live radio broadcast in front of a studio audience. "It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play" is directed by Barbara Spofford and features the talents of local actors Julianne Brosnan, Jason Cicero, Teresa Dyer, Tom Ferent, David Freedman, Terry Juell French, Dennis Sullivan and Abigail Leonard. Adult Day Program Bake Sale And Craft Fair. The Adult Day Program at Huggins Hospital will hold its annual bake sale and craft fair from 1 to 3 p.m. In addition to baked goodies, there will be hand-made Christmas cards, ornaments, gift tags, and signs for sale. The proceeds provide additional funding to the program to enhance the activities and entertainment for the participants. This event is open to the public. Christmas Can Cure Flag Raising. There will be a Christmas Can Cure Flag Raising at 10 a.m. in front of the Jackson Town Offices. Members of local VFW Post 95 will raise the U.S. flag and the Wounded Warrior flag, and the Kennett High School band will perform. The community is invited to attend, and to welcome three wounded warriors and their families to the 6th Annual Christmas Can Cure.
Madison Library Story Time. Madison Library will hold story time at 10 a.m. at the Madison Library. Seasonal stories for children, ages 2 to 5. Call 367-8545 for more information.
Celtic Christmas. Enjoy the holidays at 7 p.m. at the Little White Church with a "Celtic Christmas" and more with the Celtic band Puckerbrush; guitar, fiddle, cello, flute accordion, and Howard West and Mary Edes on guitar and voices and an extra treat "Stanza" an a capella group.  There will also be a sing-a-long and refreshments will be served after the performance. 'A Midsummer Night's Dream.' The White Mountain Waldorf Schools eighth grade class is performing "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by William Shakespeare at 7 p.m. at Salyards Performance Center for the Arts in Conway. A true theatrical performance you won't want to miss. Bring friends and see what children can do when they are infused with the arts. Free and open to the public.
Erik Ray Live. Erik Ray, one-man-band and honky-tonk bluesman from Montana, and winner of this year's Granite State Blues Challenge, will be playing at Chequers Villa, Tamworth's own "roadhouse" from 6 to 10:30 p.m.
