'Kringle's Window.' Theater-goers lacking the Christmas spirit have the opportunity to become a little more "in the mood" by attending M&D's Productions' final show of the 2013 season, "Kringle's Window" at 7:30 p.m. at Your Theatre, located at 1857 White Mountain Highway in North Conway. "Kringle's Window" begins as Little Boomer Waller's sister and her friends convince her there is no Santa Claus. Then the mysterious Mrs. Rosen shows up at the Waller home, and strange things start to happen. Tickets may be purchased at the box office open Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or can be reserved online at www.yourtheatre.com or by calling 733-5275.
Make Paper Snowflakes. There will be a workshop in making 3-D paper snowflakes for anyone who is interested in learning or relearning how to make these decorations at 4 p.m. at Jackson Public Library. People are asked, if possible, to bring a small stapler and scissors and scotch tape. Otherwise all supplies will be provided. The program is free and open to all.
K-3 Story Time. Jackson Public Library holds K-3 Story Time, 3-4:15 p.m. at the library.
Next Gen Meeting. Next Gen goes ballistic with "The Cupcake Wars" at 3:30 p.m. Young adults in grades six and up are invited to do battle. An impartial judge will decide the winners. Great food, too – bring a friend. This is the last Next Gen meeting until the New Year. For information call Janis at 447-5552.
'This New Cabin' Workshop. Tin Mountain Conservation Center's third "This New Cabin" workshop will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Tin Mountain Nature Learning Center in Albany. This workshop will consider the fundamentals of post-and-beam construction and options and considerations for portable sawmilling.
