Fryeburg Historical Society Open. The Col. Samuel Osgood House, the new home of the Fryeburg Historical Society, is open for guided tours, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesdays and Saturdays through Christmas. Groups are asked to call ahead for an appointment at 697-3484.
Cook Memorial Library Holiday Open House. The Cook Memorial Library in Tamworth holds it's annual holiday open house beginning at6 p.m. The library welcomes everyone to join with friends and neighbors for a light potluck dinner and conversation. At 7 p.m.the Brett School choir will sing carols and then prepare to be captivated by storyteller Andy Davis.
Photography By Dave Gorke At Snowvillage Inn. There will be a showing of Dave Gorkey's photography at the Snowvillage Inn from December through January 2014, with an opening reception beginning at 5:30 p.m. An opening reception for Gorke's exhibit takes place from 5:30-7 p.m. on Locals Night. Conway Historical Society Christmas Party. Conway Historical Society will hold a potluck dinner and Yankee swap for its December meeting tonight at 6 p.m. at The Salyards Center for the Arts. Parking and entrance are on the lower (rear) level of the building. All are welcome and encouraged to bring an entree, side dish, salad or dessert as well as a gift for the Yankee Swap. It is also a good idea to bring a guest, preferably one who is ready to fill out a membership form. Dinner is at 6 p.m., followed by the unavoidable but, mercifully short, business meeting, followed by the Yankee swap.
Teen Make-a-Gift Night and Dinner. Freedom Public Library holds a teen make-a-gift night and dinner, beginning at 3:30 p.m. Students in grades 7 and up are invited to the library right after school until 6 p.m. Teens can get a bus pass to be dropped off at the library and are invited to come make gifts and cards for your friends and family — there will be four different projects to choose from. Gail Bizer is making a burrito dinner. The event is free.
Elementary School Winter Concert. The Grades 4-6 Chorus and Advanced Band students will present their winter concert at 1:30 p.m. at Pine Tree Elementary School.
