'Live Nativity' In Tamworth. Tamworth Congregational Church partners with the Remick Country Doctor Museum and Farm to present a "Live Nativity" at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24. Gather in front of the museum and become part of the mystery and wonder of the season as local children reenact the journey to Bethlehem and the birth of Jesus. Following the "Live Nativity" all are invited to the church for a brief Christmas message and a carol sing. Special music will be provided by pianist Caroline Nystedt and soprano Rebekah Pugh. A free will offering will be taken with the proceeds donated to the St. Andrew's Food Pantry.
Living Nativity And Christmas Eve Service. A living nativity, complete with animals and actors, will be presented in the front of The Lutheran Church of the Nativity, located on the corner of Main and Grove Streets in North Conway, 5:45-6:30 p.m. The front doors of the church will be open to view the living nativity scene in the vestibule of the church, which will transformed into a manger scene. Follow the sidewalk luminaries and the hanging star to come and view the scene. Every 15 minutes the Christmas reading from Luke will be read, candles will be distributed, and Silent Night will be sung. Refreshments of hot chocolate and cookies will be shared, as well as Christmas story books for children. All are invited. It will be held rain or shine. You can come and go as you please. An indoor Christmas Eve service will also be held at 7:30 p.m. in the church, offering readings, Christmas carols, special music, multi-media, candle-lighting and Holy Communion. Candlelight Christmas Eve Services. On Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, First Church will offer two candlelight services. At 7 p.m., there will be a family candlelight service which includes a children's Christmas story. The service ends with the congregation circling the sanctuary with lit candles. At 11 p.m. there will be a "midnight" service which includes an inspirational message from the pastor, and concludes with the congregation circling the sanctuary in light. Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. The Brownfield Community Church will hold a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 4 p.m.

St. Margaret’s Anglican Church Christmas Eve Services.Christmas Eve, there will be a 5 p.m. Choral Mass beginning with a carol sing at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church in Conway. At 11 p.m. there will be the Mass of the Nativity ending just after midnight. The church is located at 85 Pleasant St, (Route 153) around the corner from the Conway Public Library. St. Margaret of Scotland worships on Sundays at 10 a.m.and every Thursday at noon in the Chapel. The parish holds regular Bible studies and other parish activities during the year. St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Service. St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will be having services on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The annual Christmas Pageant and Eucharist will be Dec. 24th at 4:30 p.m. Christmas Morning Worship will be held at 10 a.m. St. Peter’s is located at 42 Sweden Road (Rt. 93) in Bridgton Maine. Christmas Eve Services. The Jackson Community Church will be holding Christmas Eve Services. The family service will begin at 5 p.m. and the Candlelight Service will begin at 10 p.m. Plan to arrive a little early to enjoy the music. Everyone is welcome at the Jackson Church located through the covered bridge in the heart of Jackson Village.
Effingham Public Library Closing Early. The Effingham Public Library will close at 4pm today for Christmas Eve.
Conway Public Library Closing Early. The Conway Public Library is closing at 1 p.m. For more information call 447-5552.
North Conway Public Library Closed. The North Conway Public Library will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25. Regular hours will resume on Thursday, Dec. 26, 12-6 p.m. Regular hours for the library are: Monday and Tuesday noon to 5 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday noon to 6 p.m., Friday noon to 5 p.m. For more information, please call the library at 356-2961.
