'Musical Form and How to Hear It.' George Wiese, Mountain Top Music musician, composer and teacher, is leading the discussion "Musical Form and How to Hear It" from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Navigating your ears through a lengthy or complex piece of music doesn't have to be difficult. Composers almost always rely on musical forms to organize their "inspired" musical material. In this class, Wiese and participants will discuss form, listen to music, and train our ears to pick up musical "clues." This is part of the topics in music listening classes offered at Mountain Top Music at 111 Main Street in Conway Village. The cost is $12.
Hypertension Presentation. Julie Ferland RN-BC of Memorial Hospital’s Miranda Leavitt Diabetes Center will be at the Visiting Nurse Home Care & Hospice office in North Conway to offer a free presentation on hypertension. She will be available from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the “Walk-In Wednesday” program which is open to the public; no pre-registration required. Visiting Nurse, Home Care & Hospice offers “Walk-In Wednesdays” every week that are free and open to the public. People are encouraged to stop in for blood pressure checks or other nursing consultations. Their offices are located at 1529 White Mountain Highway, North Conway, just past the Green Granite. Knit and Crochet Group. The Effingham Public Library's Knit and Crochet Group meets at 2 p.m. Bring along your own project, work on hats and mittens for our Holiday Mitten Tree, or just stop by to enjoy some lively conversation and good company. Effingham Public Library's First Wednesday Movies. The Effingham Public Library's First Wednesday Movies features films based on literary works that are rarely seen on television. Tonight's film, at 6:30 p.m., is a special holiday presentation of a Dickens Christmas classic. Starring Michael Caine and the Muppets and directed by Brian Henson, this movie is a family-friendly retelling of a timeless classic. This program is free and open to the public. Free popcorn. Angels and Elves Benefit Craft Fair. Margarita Grill will hold a craft fair, 4-9 p.m. at the restaurant in Bartlett. Dozens of local artisans will gather together on this festive evening to display their works, help you with holiday shopping, and raise money for Angels & Elves. 
Brain Injury Support Group. The Conway area Brain Injury Support Group meets on the first Wednesday of every month from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Redstone Office of New Horizons (Northern Human Services). This group is open to all survivors, family members, or friends of those who have experienced a brain injury or stroke. They will be sending holiday cards to our Military.
