10th Annual Whitaker Woods Snowshoe Scramble. The 4-mile race course will consist of groomed trails and twisty single track through Mt. Snowshoe to Shingle Pond Nature Program. Strap on your snowshoes for a winter exploration to Shingle Pond to view the old growth mixwood forest 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Pack a lunch and bring or borrow snowshoes. Pulled Pork Supper. A pulled pork supper to benefit the Center Conway Fire Department Fireman's Fund has been postponed until Feb. 15.
Two Hour Instructional Nature Tour on Snowshoes with Expert Guide. Jackson Ski Touring Foundation guides will show you places along the trails and off the system that most people would never get to find. Led by snowshoeing experts who also give technique tips along the way. Pre-registration suggested. Tour price $10. Tours start at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Rentals available for $12. Brownfield Lions Dance. A Country Western dance to benefit the Brownfield Lions Community Fund will be held 8 p.m.-midnight at the Brownfield Lions Den on Routes 5 and 113 in Brownfield. Music by Linwood Cash and The Ridge Riders. Admission: $10 per person. Must be 21 or older. BYOB.
Tamworth Farmers' Market. The Tamworth Farmers' Market will be held 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Tamworth Town House in Tamworth Village. Sample local food cooking at the Farmers' Market CafĂ© and listen to live music performed by local musicians. More than 25 vendors will be on hand selling storage vegetables, hoop house greens, breads and baked goods, yogurt, cheese and raw milk, preserves, meats, honey, maple syrup and artisan gifts and crafts.
