Democratic Forum with District One Executive Council Candidate Michael Cryans. The Carroll County Democratic Committee will host an open forum with Michael Cryans, the Democratic candidate for the District One Executive Council Seat at 6 p.m. at the Runnells Hall, Runnells Hall Road, Chocorua (off Route 16 behind the Chocorua post office). 'Chasing Ice' Nature Program. "Chasing Ice," a film by National Geographic environmental photographer James Balog, will be shown at 7 p.m. at Tin Mountain as part of its nature series. The film captures "hauntingly beautiful videos of ancient mountains of ice in motion as they disappear at a breathtaking rate." A discussion will follow. Tar Sands Oil in New Hampshire Program. The Lakes Region Chapter of the New Hampshire Audubon Society will present a program about "Tar Sands Oil in New Hampshire" at 7 p.m. at the Loon Center in Moultonborough led by Carol Foss, PhD, Director of Conservation at NH Audubon. The Loon Center is located on Lee's Mill Road. Follow signs on Blake Road from Route 25 near the Moultonborough Central School. Refreshments will be served. 
Power Foods For The Brain. Dr. Neal Barnard, president of Physicians Committee For Responsible Medicine, discusses risk mitigation for dementia-related disorders. from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Conway Public Library.
Children's Expo and Open House. The MWV Children's Museum in North Conway will host this free, family-friendly event 4:30-6:30 p.m. There will be 20+ exhibitors, face painting and light refreshments. A donation is requested. Call (603) 356-2992 for more information.

K-3 Story Time. If your child would love more time to listen to stories, bring them to the Jackson Public Library 3-4:15 p.m. Students are picked up at the Jackson Grammar School and walked over to the public library.
