Join trombonist Andreas Clemmensen and trumpeter Marianne
Anker-Pedersen, from "the other" Denmark, for a special evening formally
recognizing the unique friendship between the town and country of
Denmark through music. Sponsored by the Danish Government and the
Consulate General of Denmark in New York City, this evening will feature
a selection of chamber music from both Danish and American composers,
including Thorvald Hansen, Carl Nielsen, Axel Jogensen, Knudage
Riisager, Eric Ewazen and Leonard Bernstein. We welcome Clemmensen and
Anker-Pederson from the Royal Music Academy at Aarhus, joined here on
piano by Edward Leonard, musical director for the Pittsburg
Philharmonic, for this unique event bridging two worlds.
