The Fourth in Conway/North Conway. The Fourth of July festivities for Conway and North Conway kick off with a parade at 1:30 p.m. in Conway Village. The parade will follow a new route that will begin on Route 302 in Conway next to Pollard Street. Floats will enter Wilder Street next to the Conway Public Library and circle up to Pollard Street to line up for the parade. (The original route has changed due to the road construction on Washington Street in Conway Village). Floats and participants must be present at Wilder Street by 1 p.m. After the Conway Village parade, activities shift to North Conway's Schouler Park. The park event schedule includes:
• 3:30 p.m.: National Anthem (North Conway Fire Department Color Guard will present the colors and Robin Croce, a Kennett Middle School student, will sing the National Anthem).
• 3:45-4:30 p.m.: Tina Titzer's Act One Dance Company

• 5:50-6:40 p.m.: Abby Miller Band

• 9:30-10 p.m.: Fireworks in Schouler Park (rain date for fireworks but not entertainment is July 5).

The Fourth in Bartlett. The town of Bartlett will celebrate with the annual Hellen E. Hayes Memorial Parade beginning at Precinct Park at 11 a.m., followed by awards at noon at Hodgkins Park, followed by a barbecue, music, and games. The Fourth in Ossipee. One of the annual highlights of Ossipee Old Home Week, which runs through Sunday, July 6, is the annual Fourth of July parade at 10 a.m. (rain date: July 5) and the fireworks display at Constitution Park in Center Ossipee beginning at approximately 9:30 p.m. The line-up for the parade is at 9 a.m. To register for the parade or for more information, contact Sue Simpson at 539-6322 or Anne Ward at 539-2696, or email@ ossrec@gmail.com. A family fun fair will be presented by Ossipee Concerned Citizens at Dore Street, featuring a flea market, food, live music, children's games and a horseshoe tourney (rain date: July 5). A Cruise Night will be held 5-7 p.m. at the Yankee Smokehouse on Route 25 in West Ossipee. And food and music will be featured 5-10:30 p.m. at Constitution Park on Long Sands Road off Route 25. The Fourth in Tamworth. Tamworth hosts its 3.1-mile Fourth of July Road Race starting at 8:30 a.m. at Ordination Rock on Cleveland Hill Road. Race registration starts at 7 a.m. at the Brett School.. Parade registration is at 10:15 a.m. at the Tamworth Lyceum. The annual parade will start at the Tamworth Town House at 11 a.m., and will proceed to the Brett School. A cookout, sack races, games, a Hula-Hoop contest and entertainment by the Swift River Jazz Band will follow after the parade at the school grounds from noon-4 p.m. A pie-eating contest and egg toss will be held. The action resumes at 7 p.m., with food, and music by the Jonathan Sarty Band at the school. The Fourth in Fryeburg. Fryeburg's Fourth of July Children's Parade starts at 10 a.m. (9:30 a.m. line up) at the Main Building of Fryeburg Academy and proceeds down Main Street to Bradley Park. Green Mountain Trail Hike. Hikers can work off the July 4 barbecue to come with a 3.5-hour hike on Green Mountain in Effingham. The hike will be led by local residents Johanna Vienneau and Kamal Nath. Participants will meet at the parking lot of the Effingham Public Library by 9:45 a.m. for a 10 a.m. departure to the trailhead.
