Many people will scoff at this but President Obama was set in power by God for a specific reason. We do not know why as yet but as time passes it will become clear.
"And he changeth the times and the seasons; He removeth
kings, and
setteth up kings; he giveth wisdom unto the wise,
and knowledge
to them that know understanding. He revealeth
the deep
and secret things; he knoweth what is in the darkness,
and the
lightdwelleth with him.'' (Daniel 2: 20-22)
In conclusion, Jesus Christ showed respect to every human ruler He came into contact with—not because of the men, but because of the offices they held. He didn’t even rail against those who murdered Him.
Jude 8-10 warn about speaking evil of dignities, pointing out that the archangel Michael, while contending with Satan for Moses’s body, “dare not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.” That was talking about the most evil being ever to exist.
Paul wrote: “For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore he who resists the authorities resist what God has appointed …” (Romans 13:1)
We may have elections, but no man takes office without God allowing him to do so.
It is clear that God appoints the individuals
who bear authority. This is directly stated in Daniel 4:17, wherein
God himself told Nebuchadnezzar, the greatest king of Babylon, in a
dream that it is God who bestows rulership over the realm of mankind on
whom he wishes.
Twice during his earthly ministry, Jesus explicitly recognized this principle of individual governmental authority. Thus, when the centurion in Matthew 8:5-13 came to Jesus asking him to just speak the word that would heal his servant, explaining that he believed Jesus had the same sort of authority over illness that the centurion had over the soldiers in his command, Jesus marveled at his "great faith." The centurion obviously had a correct understanding of the authority principle. Finally, in John 19:10-11, Jesus first recognized that Pilate's authority to try and condemn him had been given him "from above," then recognized his responsibility for his official acts by saying that "he who delivered me up to you has the greater sin."
''The decision is announced by messengers, the holy ones declare the verdict, so that the living may know that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of people.'' (Daniel 4:17)
Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. (Romans 13:1)
