Will the election of Donald Trump be the act that rescues America? Or might he lead the country into a fascist dictatorship under a false populism?
Will America continue down the socialist path that Barack Obama has led us, will the fundamental transformation of the nation continue?
Unless something dramatically changes, these are America's choices. The presidential vote on November 8 may well be the defining election in history...all of history, even if Clinton and Trump for some reason are not on the ballot.
If the leftist, socialist, communist philosophy is carried for another four years, and quite possibly beyond, America will have suffered a change so profound it will never recover. It will become a parody democracy with a gutted constitution.
The United States will become like so many other countries across history, and will no longer be exceptional in her founding worldview, freedoms, prosperity, and security.
This will be Obama's third term. It is why Barack Obama has joined her in actively campaigning. He knows Hillary will simply continue his declared fundamental "transformation" of America — which we are seeing with ever more clarity in his unrestrained second term.

Donald Trump is a wild card. "Wild" would characterize his policies and the style of his administration. He will do a 360(not a 180) governing with hubristic populism. Fascism will be waiting in the wings. I cannot see him implementing a principle-based policy - ever.
The liberal-socialist revolution began during the 1960s, launched its "long march" through establishment institutions in the 1970s, and crowned its king on January 20, 2009. Now it hopes to elevate its monarch to the throne. America has been in the "cocoon" of the Obama presidency for eight years. What is emerging is not a beautiful butterfly, but aa evil crone.
There is no good choice but spiritually speaking America is getting just what she needs(at best); a kick in the ass and a wake-up call. (at worst?) Destruction with the world's total transformation
Glad I'm not the only one who saw this coming. As I'm sure you noticed when you wrote this, it turns out that the answer was B, a turn down the other other lane. So few people seem to really understand that both parties with the same objective - get power, keep power, and expand that power, that the only thing they could do was press outward to their extremes. Two people with similar goals debating the best way to accomplish them is what this form of government intended. As it's been said, a democracy can only survive until people realize they can vote themselves money. In no time at all, corporations remembered that they have personhood as well and could also vote themselves money. Political fundraising has been treated as free speech so that "He who has the gold, makes the rules".
ReplyDeleteWe've balanced on a seesaw for over 200 years while letting the board grow unchecked. We now have a significant population that can't discern the severity difference between an organized political coup coordinated by a sitting elected President and an adult family member of a President who while he was out of office maybe evaded taxes and purchased a gun when they technically weren't supposed to be able to. Even a significant portion of the FBI and Secret Service seem to look at this and so "So what?"
Don't get me wrong. I'm not defending or attacking anyone. I work hard to maintain objectivity. Stumbling across your post from several years ago was the first time I think I've seen anyone say something that I actually agree with. You were absolutely right. If Hillary had won, we would likely be in a mirror of the same situation. It likely wouldn't be so blatantly obvious, but it would be there nonetheless.
My question for you is; Do you see a way out that doesn't involve the nastiness of fascism we saw a hundred years ago? Might there be a way to cap this before it gets too ugly? Like you, I felt this was coming but I can't help think that Trump jumped the gun just a bit and maybe the country wasn't truly ripe for fascism yet. That this misadventure might instead serve as a wake-up call and enable a massive reform effort that hasn't been possible until now.
I suppose I can hope for this. But maybe not.
I thought I posted with Google so I could see a response but I goofed. lol I stumbled upon this via Google. Now I'm going to go look at the rest of your site as you may have addressed this already.
